Vinyl windows will typically run $25 to $70 per square foot for the window itself. Typically, window installation costs will account for $50 to $125 per opening, depending on the condition of your sills and frames. The full installed cost of a vinyl window will therefore be somewhere in the $40 and $90 per square foot fully installed.

In order to find the per square foot cost of a window, multiply the width in inches by the height in inches and divide by 144. So, for instance, for a window that measures 24"W by 36"H, you would multiply (24 X 36) / 144 = 6.
